Troops of Sector 2, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, rescued seven kidnapped victims, including six female students of the Federal University, Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA), during an operation along the Daye–Malumfashi road in Danmusa Local Government Area of Katsina State. The victims were rescued on Monday evening when troops responded to a distress call reporting an attack on a commercial vehicle travelling from Kaduna to Katsina. According to a statement by Lt. Col. Olaniyi Osoba, the troops swiftly moved to the scene, forcing the attackers to abandon their captives and flee. The rescued victims comprised six female students and a male commercial driver. All seven were rescued unhurt and subsequently subjected to preliminary security profiling and medical evaluation.
