Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda praised troops of the Nigerian Armed Forces and the military high command for preventing terrorists from attacking and mass-kidnapping residents. Chief of Defence Staff General Olufemi Oluyede urged troops to continue dislodging terrorists and reiterated his commitment to their welfare. The governor also commended the Department of State Services and vigilantes for providing intelligence that led to the neutralization of 18 terrorists and the recovery of arms and rustled livestock. Troops attached to Operation Fasan YAMMA foiled the terrorists' attempt on Monday in Gidan Iyado, Kakumi Ward, Bakori LGA.
