Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has given suspended Commissioner for Works (Highways and Urban Roads) Reuben Izeze a 10-week timeline to return to office after the commissioner pleaded for forgiveness. The decision was announced on Tuesday at Government House, Asaba, shortly after the swearing-in of the state Auditor-General and members of governing councils of three state-owned universities. Izeze attended the event and later knelt before the governor to thank him. Oborevwori said Izeze had sent him a message earlier that day pleading for forgiveness and asking him to inform the public that he had returned from remand at a correctional facility.
