AFRICLOUD Opens Lagos Region and Local-Currency Payments in African Markets

AFRICLOUD, a cloud infrastructure company, has launched its third African region in Lagos, allowing businesses to run servers in Nigeria, South Africa, or Portugal from a single account. The company now accepts payment in local currency across West, Central, East, and Southern Africa. According to the company, the Lagos region keeps compute and storage for Nigerian customers within Nigeria and also serves cities including Accra, Abidjan, Lome, Douala, and Ouagadougou. Traffic from landlocked West Africa that previously routed through Europe now stays on terrestrial West African fibre.
