Troops in Katsina State foiled a kidnapping attempt and rescued six female students of Federal University Dutsin-Ma and their driver. The rescue occurred along the Daye-Malufashi road in Danmusa Local Government Area after troops responded to the incident at about 10:48 p.m. on Monday. The victims were handed over to the Nigeria Police to continue their journey, according to an operational report obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria. In Plateau State, troops of Operation Enduring Peace rescued two kidnapped victims in separate operations in Mangu and Bokkos Local Government Areas, including one who sustained gunshot wounds and was evacuated to COCIN Hospital for medical attention.
