Plateau: Gunmen kill 3 vigilantes despite curfew

Gunmen killed three vigilantes in an ambush around the Kyikyau–Gyambwas boundary in Mangu Halle District of Mangu Local Government Area, Plateau State. The victims were attacked at about 7:49 p.m. while the community was observing a dusk-to-dawn curfew. The incident occurred a day after the state government imposed a curfew in Mangu, Bokkos, and Barikin Ladi LGAs to restore law and order following attacks that killed dozens, including women. The Director of Public Affairs of the Mwaghavul Youth Movement, Tubwot Joël Sunday, confirmed the ambush and identified the victims as Samson Dachet, 45; Gambo Fwangyil, 50; and Zughumnan Bamaiyi, 35.
