A 28-year-old man, Falodun Tope Ernest, has been arraigned before a Chief Magistrate's Court in Ado-Ekiti for alleged possession of 240 SIM cards and illicit drugs. The prosecutor, ASP Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on September 14, 2026, at about 3:00 p.m. in Ado-Ekiti. The offences are punishable under Section 345 of the Criminal Laws of Ekiti State 2021 and Section 5(b) of the Indian Hemp Act, LFN 2004. The Chief Magistrate, Mr. Abayomi Adeosun, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.
