On the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA81), Mr. Kanono Ramashamole, Principal Secretary for the Ministry of Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation of Lesotho, joined high-level international discussions focused on advancing Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) with robust safeguards. In collaboration with UNICEF Lesotho, the government has developed pioneering DPI Safeguards for Children, which are being piloted alongside the National University of Lesotho across five key government ministries. Mr. Ramashamole also contributed to a closed-door roundtable titled 'Financing the Trust and Inclusion Architecture of Digital Transformation,' where he shared insights from Lesotho's DPI journey.
