The Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed Prince Omar Bolaji Gambari as the Director-General of its campaign organisation for the 2027 governorship election. Gambari, son of former Chief of Staff Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, will coordinate the campaign of governorship candidate Engr. Suleiman Bolakale Kawu. The appointment was announced after an expanded party leadership meeting presided over by state chairman Hon. Isa Bawa Adamu. According to a statement by PDP Publicity Secretary Olusegun Adewara, Gambari was among the aspirants who contested the 2026 governorship primary won by Kawu.
