The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared Abdulrashid Maina, former chairman of the defunct Pension Reform Task Force, wanted. The declaration was made in a statement signed by the commission's Head of Media & Publicity, Dele Oyewale. Maina was arraigned on October 25, 2019, alongside his son Faisal, on 12-count charges of money laundering and concealment of proceeds of unlawful acts. He was subsequently sentenced to 61 years in prison by Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court in Abuja for stealing N2 billion meant for pensioners.
