Former chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Agege Constituency, Chief Ganiyu Kola Egunjobi and Barrister Azeez Yusuf, have rejected their expulsion from the party. They stated that they had resigned from the APC weeks earlier. The two are allies of Obasa, and their rejection of the expulsion was reported by Tribune Online.
