Babafemi A. Badejo has accepted the Order of Timor-Leste, dedicating the honour to all individuals involved in peace support operations, mediation, civil society, and ordinary citizens working to maintain stability. He received the award alongside his wife, Adejumoke. Badejo expressed appreciation for the recognition of friendship and peace-making efforts. The honour acknowledges the often unacknowledged contributions to peacebuilding.
