President Dr Patrick Herminie of Seychelles held bilateral talks with the leadership of the African Peer Review Mechanism on the margins of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. Discussions focused on strengthening Africa's financial independence, improving governance, and harnessing technology for development. APRM CEO Marie Antoinette Rose Quatre briefed the President on progress toward the launch of the Africa Credit Rating Agency, expected on 7 October in Mauritius. The initiative is designed as an independent, private-sector-driven entity to provide an African perspective on sovereign and corporate creditworthiness.
