The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has described the reported kidnap of an aide to Governor Ademola Adeleke as a plot to blackmail the party and President Bola Tinubu. In a statement by its Director of Media and Information, Kola Olabisi, the APC urged the police not to succumb to pressure to bury the matter. The party alleged that the intention was to demonize the Osun APC and incite the public against it.
