The Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, announced that the Federal Government remains the legal owner of the 117-year-old institution. The Old Boys Association will be responsible for funding, rehabilitation, modernisation, operation, and maintenance. The strike by unity colleges staff has been suspended, and students may resume on September 27.
