The Jama'atu Nasril Islam (JNI) and the Arewa Think Tank have called for due process and credibility in the ongoing investigation into the deaths of 37 miners in the custody of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Niger State. The JNI, in a statement issued by its Secretary-General, Professor Khalid Abubakar Aliyu, urged that the probe be conducted fairly.
