International shipping lines including Maersk and MSC have applauded the United States Coast Guard's decision to lift the 12-year Condition of Entry imposed on vessels originating from Nigerian ports and destined for the United States. The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) revealed this in a statement on Wednesday. The removal of the condition is expected to ease shipping operations between Nigeria and the US.
