Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and Guinea-Bissau have called for stronger laws, institutions, and sustainable financing to confront Africa's growing waste-management crisis and accelerate the transition to a circular economy. The call was made in Abuja at the Final Regional Closing Workshop of the 'Environmentally Sounder and Safer Waste Management Frameworks in Africa' project. The workshop brought together stakeholders to address the issue.
