The Ebonyi State House of Assembly has passed a bill reviewing the remuneration of local government chairmen, councillors, development centre coordinators, and other political office holders. The bill amends Schedules A and C of Law No. 004 of 2008, as amended in 2015. Under the revised Schedule A, local government chairmen will receive N450,000, vice chairmen N400,000, supervisors N230,000, secretaries N240,000, and special assistants N165,000. Schedule C sets legislative leaders at N300,000, deputy leaders at N250,000, and councillors at N230,000, while development centre coordinators will earn N277,000 and management committee members N226,000.
