Bendel Insurance FC secured a 2-1 victory over Ikorodu City FC at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on Wednesday in Match-day 5 of the Nigeria Premier Football League. After a goalless first half, Coach Kennedy Boboye made two substitutions that sparked the attack. Emmanuel Dung was brought down in the penalty area in the 48th minute, and Chinedu Nwosu converted the spot-kick two minutes later. Nwosu missed a chance to double the lead in the 65th minute, and Ikorodu City later equalised.
