UI gets first female bursar in 78-year history

The University of Ibadan has appointed Mrs Mariam Adetoun Zakariyah as its first female bursar in 78 years. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kayode Adebowale, described the appointment as a reflection of the institution's tradition of excellence and commitment to merit. Mrs Zakariyah, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA), formally assumed duty at a ceremony held at the university. This marks a historic milestone for the institution.
