The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested four suspects and recovered 300 rounds of live ammunition and three locally made firearms in separate operations across the state. The command's spokesperson, DSP Mansir Hassan, disclosed this in a statement, saying the arrests were made in Makarfi, Gwantu, and Giwa local government areas. Detectives attached to the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, acting on credible intelligence on 22nd September 2026, arrested two suspects identified as Rayyanu Adamu and Nasiru Abubakar over the alleged illegal trafficking of arms and ammunition around Giwa local government area and the Railway Station axis of Kaduna State. A search conducted during the operation led to the recovery of 270 live rounds of AK-47 ammunition and 30 live rounds of Type 06 ammunition, bringing the total to 300 rounds of live ammunition.
