The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, has revealed that the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has recorded a 60 percent implementation rate on its 2026 capital budget, despite initial delays in fund releases. The Minister made the revelation in Abuja while addressing journalists following a tour of five ongoing key infrastructure projects slated for completion and commissioning ahead of next year's general elections. He dismissed political debates over infrastructure financing and loans, noting that execution remained on track following presidential assent and release of funds. Wike stated that the budget is being implemented strictly and expressed satisfaction with the progress.
