The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has revealed that no fewer than 620,000 people have been displaced in North-West Nigeria due to persistent violent attacks. Hundreds of thousands more are displaced in the North-East and North-Central regions. Displacement has led to loss of livelihoods, property, and community dislocation. Victims of banditry, terrorism, and other violent crimes live in hopelessness and helplessness, with homelessness, hunger, and uncertainty defining their existence.
