Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has called for increased capital and coordinated support to bridge the funding gap for women-led businesses in Nigeria. Represented by Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Systems Abisola Olusanya at the 2026 W.O.M.A.N. conference organized by Alitheia Capital, Sanwo-Olu emphasized that women-led enterprises in manufacturing, agribusiness, and nutrition are critical to economic transformation. He noted that these sectors create jobs, strengthen food security, deepen local value chains, and support industrialization. The governor urged government, financial institutions, private equity firms, and development partners to collaborate in providing necessary support.
