Crude oil imports through Lagos Ports declined by 38.6 percent in September 2026, with 1,470,109 metric tonnes imported compared to 2,392,354 metric tonnes in August. The Lagos import chat revealed this on Tuesday, noting that the remaining eight days of the month may change the position. According to the Shipping Position obtained from the Nigerian Ports Authority, petroleum products and other commodities accounted for significant import volumes. Premium Motor Spirit recorded the highest volume among petroleum products with 526,500 metric tonnes, followed by Aviation Turbine Fuel at 167,000 metric tonnes and Automotive Gas Oil at 82,500 metric tonnes.
