Nigeria’s Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has given public companies and significant public interest capital market operators until October 15, 2026, to submit plans for adopting the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards. The deadline is part of the SEC’s efforts to enhance sustainability reporting in the Nigerian capital market. The directive applies to public companies and other capital market operators of significant public interest.
