The newly elected leadership of the Igala Diaspora Association in the United States has expressed condolences to the family, government, and people of Kogi State, as well as the Atta Igala, over the death of former Kogi State governor Alhaji Ibrahim Idris. Idris, who was 77, died in a London hospital. The association’s new president, Bishop Moses Adejoh, and secretary-general, Mr Arome Oyibo, recalled the former governor’s engagement with the Kogi diaspora, including his participation in the association’s conference in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 2006. The association also credited his administration with facilitating its donation of multi-million-naira digital equipment and academic resources in 2007.
