Instinct's founder says the viral AI agent's hallucinations can spit out what looks like a stranger's data

Noah Shinn, founder of the viral AI assistant Instinct, said the tool can hallucinate and appear to send users a stranger's details. This came after a user on X reported that Instinct told them a photo had 'crossed into' their conversation. Shinn explained that Instinct did this by fabricating a proper noun and then amplifying it with its reasoning. The user, @prit4k, uploaded screenshots showing the assistant seemingly provided someone else's middle name and discussed a photo they never sent.
