Ghana: First Lady calls for holistic health and empowerment for African women at High-Level Organisation of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD) Summit in New York

Ghana's First Lady, Mrs. Lordina Dramani Mahama, has called on African leaders and global partners to increase investments in healthcare, education, and women's economic empowerment. She spoke during the 'Passing the Baton' session at a high-level OAFLAD side event in New York. The event, themed 'A Legacy of Leadership: Delivering for Women and Girls,' brought together African First Ladies and a First Gentleman to discuss the organization's next quarter-century strategic direction. Mrs. Mahama recalled that OAFLAD was established nearly 25 years ago in response to the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
