The men's team lost 3-1 to Libya, while the women's team was narrowly beaten 2½-1½ by Suriname. Abdulrahman Akintoye Abdulraheem secured Nigeria's only win in the men's match, defeating Mohammed Midhat Abdulrahman on Board One.
