The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested Balamau Lardi, 49, for allegedly stabbing his wife, Biyagwal Balamau, 37, in Kurnyi Tudu Village, Guyuk Local Government Area. The incident occurred on 23rd September 2026, following a report from the District Head and Village Head of Kurnyi. The victim sustained grievous injury to the left side of her ribs and is currently receiving treatment and undergoing surgery at a medical facility. The Commissioner of Police, Kabir Umar Hassan, has condemned the act and directed the State Criminal Investigation Department to take over the case.
