Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State has approved the formation of a committee to verify and facilitate salary payments for 3,100 newly recruited civil servants. The committee will be chaired by the Head of Service, Abdulkadir Ahmad, with Gandi Umar Muhammad as Co-Chairman. Members include representatives from the Civil Service Commission, the State Auditor-General, the Local Government Auditor-General, the Teachers Service Board, and the Nigeria Labour Congress. The committee is tasked with verifying the new recruits and ensuring timely payment of their salaries.
