ActionAid to FG: Keep King’s College public, reject concession

ActionAid Nigeria has called on the Federal Government to retain King's College, Lagos, as a public institution and reject the proposed concession. The organisation's Country Director, Dr Andrew Mamedu, expressed concern over the controversy, especially given Nigeria's education crisis. He emphasised that public education must remain public in purpose, not just in name. Mamedu noted that about 15 million Nigerian children are out of school and argued that the government should focus on expanding affordable public education rather than creating uncertainty over access.
