Minister of Works David Umahi has directed that pictures of President Bola Tinubu be displayed on the First Niger Bridge after ongoing rehabilitation works are completed. Umahi gave the directive during an inspection of the bridge linking Anambra and Delta states, which was shut earlier this month following vandalisation of structural components. He also appealed to South-East voters ahead of the 2027 presidential election to consider the infrastructure projects executed by the Tinubu administration in the region. Umahi further ordered the removal of all illegal advertisements on the bridge after rehabilitation, to be replaced temporarily with pictures of the President.
