France and Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe has continued his media campaign for the Ballon d'Or, stating he is confident of winning the award. The 27-year-old was top scorer at the World Cup, the Champions League and LaLiga last season, though he won no major team trophies as France lost in the World Cup semifinals and Real Madrid finished second in LaLiga and exited the Champions League in the quarterfinals. In an interview with RFI radio, Mbappe said the award recognises individual performance and eye-catching moments. He scored 25 LaLiga goals, 15 Champions League goals and 10 World Cup goals last season.
