A multi-agency medical outreach in Lamu provided essential healthcare services to 323 residents, including treatment, screening and medical advice. The Civil-Military Cooperation medical outreach involved the Kenya Navy medical team from Manda Trauma Centre, US Civil Affairs, the Lamu County Healthcare Team and the Kenya Red Cross. KDF troops deployed under Operation Amani Boni provided security throughout the exercise. The teams attended to conditions including upper respiratory tract infections, skin conditions, ear, nose and throat ailments, dental problems and urinary tract infections, as well as screening and management of chronic conditions such as hypertension.
