Manchester United have put pieces of the historic Old Trafford pitch up for sale, with each 7x7cm section priced at £125, according to BBC Sport. The first batch of turf, preserved inside glass cubes and presented in black cases, has already sold out. The initiative comes as the club continues to deal with a debt burden of more than £1bn, despite reporting record revenue for the 2025–26 financial year. United recorded revenue of £677.6m and an operating profit of £22.6m for the year, although the club still posted a pre-tax loss of £43m.
