Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir el-Rufai has stated he may reconsider certain relationships after some friends and associates remained silent during his legal challenges. In a statement on X, he said the past few months have taught him lessons about relationships and difficult times. El-Rufai is facing trial on allegations of money laundering and conversion of public property, and has been in ICPC custody since February 19. He noted that adversity has exposed the nature of some relationships, particularly the silence of those he had previously supported.
