Evidence tampering: Judge withdraws from ex-Gov Bello nephew’s N10bn fraud case

Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja has recused himself from the N10 billion money laundering case involving Ali Bello, a nephew of former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello. The judge cited alleged tampering with a vital proof of evidence. Bello and his alleged accomplice, Dauda Sulaiman, are facing a 10-count charge brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. The court had ordered an investigation into a registrar and the second defendant over the alleged tampering.
