The Presidential Candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the 2027 presidential election, Prince Adewole Adebayo, has called for the immediate impeachment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Adebayo accused Tinubu of breaching the 1999 Constitution by prolonging his absence from the country without formally transmitting power to the Vice President. The SDP candidate described the alleged action as a constitutional breach. The call for impeachment was made in a statement.
