Ekiti Guber: SDP counsel raises safety concerns

Ebenezer Akinbuyi, counsel to the Social Democratic Party (SDP), has raised safety concerns at the Ekiti State governorship election petition tribunal. He alleged that he was attacked within the tribunal premises, resulting in an injury to one of his fingers. Akinbuyi stated that he no longer feels safe appearing before the tribunal and that the petitioners have written to the President of the Court of Appeal seeking to relocate the proceedings from Ekiti State to Abuja. He said they are awaiting a decision on the request.
