Tonte Ibraye, a former governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers State, has resigned from the party. He cited the prolonged leadership crisis and unresolved legal disputes over the party's internal structures and processes ahead of the 2027 general elections. Ibraye ran for governor in the 2023 election.
