The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the 2026 Internal Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) results. Registrar Prof. Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi announced that 1,378,048 candidates registered, with 1,371,992 sitting for the exam. A total of 804,948 candidates (58.67%) obtained five credits and above, including English and Mathematics, while 1,162,118 candidates (84.70%) got five credits regardless of English and Mathematics. The council also recorded a reduction in examination malpractice cases from 3,878 in 2025 to 1,xxx in 2026.
