I didn’t use AI to write my novel — Author denies allegation

Haitian-Canadian author Thélyson Orélien, 38, has denied allegations that artificial intelligence was used to write much of his debut novel, 'C'était ça ou mourir' (It Was Either That or Die), which recently won the Prix du Roman Fnac. The allegation was made by an X account known as Balance ton Claude, which said it tested several passages from the novel using Pangram, an AI-detection tool, and claimed the result was 100 per cent AI. Orélien described the allegation as an attack on his work.
