Crude supply to Nigerian refineries rises 17% in August — NMDPRA

Crude oil receipts by Nigerian domestic refineries increased by 17 percent in August 2026, rising to 683,000 barrels per day from 585,000 b/d in July, according to the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA). The increase coincided with a rise in domestic petrol supply, with total petrol receipts up 11 percent from 45.5 million litres per day in July to 50.5 ml/d in August. Domestic refinery petrol supply increased by 15.1 percent to 29.7 ml/d, while petrol imports rose to 20.6 ml/d. The August figure remained below the 40 ml/d recorded in May.
