Former England striker Andy Carroll has revealed that he was sexually assaulted by a man in 2021. The incident occurred at his home during his second spell with Newcastle United and led to the perpetrator being jailed for three years. Carroll disclosed the trauma in his autobiography, Owning It, saying he decided to include it at the last minute after discussing with his girlfriend.
