A yet-to-be-identified adult male passenger on a motorcycle was killed on Wednesday when a sand-laden tipper truck collided with the motorcycle at Ilasa Bus Stop, inward Mile 2, on the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway in Lagos. The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) said its Eagle Response Team stationed at Cappa responded to the crash following a distress call received at about 3:18 p.m. According to LASEMA's Permanent Secretary, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, preliminary investigation indicated that the accident occurred after the tipper driver allegedly lost control and rammed into the motorcycle from behind. The tipper truck, with registration number 19F 992FG, was loaded with sand when it collided with the motorcycle, and the passenger died in the crash.
