The Speaker of Uganda's Parliament, Jacob Marksons Oboth, has commended China for its decades of infrastructure, agricultural, and healthcare cooperation with Uganda. Speaking at a reception marking China's 77th National Day and welcoming new ambassador H.E. Wu Guangrong, Oboth reflected on over sixty years of bilateral friendship dating back to 1962. He cited flagship projects such as the Kampala-Entebbe Expressway, the Karuma and Isimba hydropower dams, upgrades to Entebbe International Airport, and the National Stadium as evidence of the partnership's impact. He also mentioned agricultural cooperation through the Kibimba and Doho farms and the China-Uganda Friendship Hospital.
