Concerned members of the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) and Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) have urged their national leadership to declare nationwide interdenominational prayers over delayed salaries and other outstanding entitlements. In an open letter dated September 24, 2026, addressed to the National Executive Council, the members proposed Friday, October 2, and Sunday, October 4, 2026, for special prayers across university branches nationwide. The letter was signed by Arc. Usman Muhammad Othman on behalf of the concerned members and copied to the national presidents of SSANU and NASU and the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission.
